Artist Statement

I was born in Lithuania, Kaunas city. Grew up in multinational average family.Since my very young age I was always creative and always tried to change my surroundings in the way I thought was best.

I attended Mid.School in Lithuania and High School was completed in Moscow. Then I went back to study Business Management in Lithuania, and graduated with a Bachelors Degree.

In 1996 I decided that I needed change in my life and over the next 14 years I moved country to country, in this process I tried new things and new experiences, which involved some of soul searching.

The majority of my work uses the human form. Recently I have been working on the Male and Female form in nude- playing with light and shade. Some of these images are faceless, having no identity.

This stems from my interest on the play of light on the shape in front of me rather than identifying the poser.

I also like to work in 3D/relief pieces. Again I am exploring the shape of nature in its simplicity. Watching how light and shade make the shape I am moulding.

Because of this interest in shape and form, my work can lead into the exploration of another world and time.
The idea of Demons and Angels has always been a passion for me and I am exploring the integration of the real world with the Religious and Dark Side.

Some of the portraits on site is commissioned by clients and I do it regularly.
